Types of Machine
Prior to selecting a vending machine which best suits your requirements, it is essential to have an understanding of the differences between the machines. Read below for an explanation of the difference between drink, snack, combo and other machine types.
Drink Machines
Drink vending machines essentially dispense cans or bottles of drink however machines vary in:
- the capacity of the machine
- the number of different products (3 to 30) it can handle
- the variety of different sized products
(slim line cans such as Red Bull to 600ml water and PET bottles)

Most drink venders can be set to chill at around 4°c which is 'bar fridge temperature'.
Note that some products such as Coke may take up more than one chute due to their popularity.
It is essential that the machine you choose is reliable, easy to use and fitted with a quality coin mechanism for trouble free operation.
Vendpro/Everquench Drink Venders
Manufactured by National these Japanese machines come in a range of sizes that can handle from 15 to 30 different products with a capacity of 250 to 600 items.
They are capable of dispensing a variety of sizes from Red Bull and standard cans to 600ml water and Powerade.
These machines can also be configured to handle chocolates such as Mars, Snickers and Cherry Ripe.
CB Series 300, 500 and 700
Manufactured in the United States by USI, the CB Series are exceptionally robust machines which can carry from 6 to 12 different products with a capacity of up to 700.
The advantage of the CB Series is that they can handle the larger PET bottles (Coke, Schweppes etc).
New and Reconditioned
The Everquench and CB Series are the most common machines available through Vendpro Vending Systems however we do carry a range of both new and reconditioned machines for sale or rental.

Snack Venders
Whilst snack vending machines are designed essentially to dispense items such as packets of chips, chocolates, packets of sweets, chewing gum etc, the spiral dispensing system allows a variety of other products to be vended. This includes soap, tissues, shaving cream and any other product which will fit into the spiral.
Such machines often have smaller compressors than drink machines as operating temperature is generally around 14°c to 16°c.
Automatic Products
These American machines come in three sizes and are set to 14°c. They are the most common snack machines in WA.
Mercato 24, 30 and 40
These are manufactured in America, are more robust than the AP series and can be set to a lower temperature.
New and Reconditioned
Vendpro Vending Systems carry a range of snack vending machines both new and reconditioned. Prices depend upon the quality and size of the machine but start around $4500 (+GST) for a quality reconditioned machine with new machines in the $6000 to $8500 (+GST) range.

Combo Machines
Combo machines are designed to dispense snacks and drinks; thus the term 'combo'. Whilst this may appear to be the ideal solution, the drink capacity in some combos is low due to the spiral dispensing system and the drinks are sometimes not as cold as can be achieved in a dedicated drink machine.
NECTA Snakky Series
Whilst these Italian manufactured machines are quite reliable they are not as robust as some of the American manufactured USI or AMS machines.
They come in three sizes generally set to take two trays of chips, one of chocolates, one bottle and two can trays.
Temperature varies from around 12°c at the top to 5°c at the bottom. These machines are better suited to office situations.
USI VT3000 and VT5000
These machines are manufactured by USI and are far more robust and heavy duty than the NECTA machines.
The USI machines can be set to the same configuration as the NECTA machines but have the option of a high capacity tray to increase the number of drinks the machine can hold.
These manufacturers provide larger machines for bigger sites.
Other Machine Types
Drink, Snack and Combo machines are the most popular venders however Vendpro Vending Systems carry a range of other machines designed to vend specific products such as bottles, cold or frozen foods or hardware.
Other machines are designed to be installed outside in the weather.
